Triple Star Management Limited enlisted the help of architects to design an industrial development within the Frankton Flats. The aim was to create a workshop, maintenance and storage facility to incorporate the office space above. The design needed to accommodate a range of demands, including large vehicle manoeuvring, circulation areas, staff and client parking, acoustics, solar gain, and accessibility for office and storage requirements. Another challenge was to future-proof the building for potential growth or change of use.
The resulting design features a spacious open-plan office area with a reception, kitchenette, bathroom, and two meeting rooms on the upper level. The lower level comprises a boardroom, kitchen, bathroom, toilet, and additional office and storage space. The two single-level maintenance and storage buildings on either side of the two-storey office building provide ample storage and racking space, with easy forklift manoeuvring.
